We are super lucky to have Caroline Campion come down from Christchurch to show you her beautiful gowns. We are so excited…

Heres a little bit about Caroline and what you can see ~

What do you love best about what you do?

I really enjoy working with brides to create their ultimate dress and especially love that final try on when it’s all come together.  The most important aspect for me is designing flattering dresses that suit a bride’s personality and give her the confidence to rock it on her wedding day in front of all those guests!

What’s your favourite thing to do on your day off?

Hanging out with my Border Collie pup (Poppy) at the beach and up the Port Hills in Christchurch.

Tell us something about you?

My inspiration is drawn from my rural upbringing and french ancestry.  While living in London I loved to escape to Paris for the weekend and consequently my work work has been influenced by art nouveau, Parisian elegance and modern day bohemian style.

Whats do you think is new and upcoming in weddings?

In bridal wear, illusion backs, playing with lace cut outs and sheer fabrics, along with non traditional colours such as beige and blush,  are gaining momentum and I’m looking to work with these in my next collection.

What can guests expect from you at the fair (that maybe they wouldn’t otherwise see)?

Guests can view the 2014 range of silk vintage style dresses with rustic elements, which are all made and designed in New Zealand.  Each dress is purposefully cut to flatter the various female figures, and there is a something for every shape.  Being made locally, we can customize any style and colour to the bride’s preference.
